Option 1

Continuous Enrollment Immersion Schools

Immersion schools with on-going, weekly enrollment are abundant in Guanajuato and popular with tourists, retirees, and anyone needing the flexibility these schools provide. These classes provide a great gateway into Guanajuato life. They can also be a fun way to learn more about Mexico, meet people, and be a part of the community.

University of Guanajuato

Accredited with Semester Long Classes

The University of Guanajuato offers a credited semester-long program to learn Spanish as a second language. The curriculum includes course in literature, Mexican history, and salsa dancing. The UG School of Idiomas is an excellent program and an affordable way to study Spanish. Bonus! It’s also just steps from Casa Observatorio.

CAADI

Language Lab at the University of Guanajuato

During the University’s school year, aspiring instructors practice the craft of teaching Spanish as a second language at the University’s language lab, CAADI. CAADI is open to the public and housed at the UG School of Idiomas. CAADI is a great way to practice Spanish and it is just steps from Casa Observatorio.

Private Tutoring

Supplement your studies with private tutoring. This option is great for those who want to advance their studies one-on-one, prepare for a formal exam, or build comfort level around a specific area of expertise (eg law, medicine).
