WHERE TO ENROLL?
Option 1
Continuous Enrollment Immersion Programs
Guanajuato is known for its Spanish immersion programs. Schools and tutors are abundant and affordable, with many schools enrolling students weekly. The curriculums are designed to make it easy for tourists, retirees, executives…really anyone looking to learn Spanish. Language classes are not only a great way to learn Spanish, but they can be a fun way to explore Mexico, make friends, and experience the Guanajuato community.

University of Guanajuato
If you have a semester or need class credit, the University of Guanajuato offers a semester-long program for foreigners. Courses include history, conversation, grammer, and salsa dancing. Instructions all in Spanish – of course.
Option 3
Private Tutoring
Supplement your studies with private tutoring. This option is great for those who want privacy, one-on-one attention, exam preparation, or focus on a specific area of expertise (eg law, medicine). The Spanish Experience Center of Guanajuato can help you organize a private tutor.
Option 4
CAADI
The University of Guanajuato (UG) prepares Mexican students to teach Spanish as a second language. During the University’s school year, these aspiring instructors practice teaching at the University’s language lab, CAADI. CAADI is a great way to practice Spanish. It is open to the public (for a nominal fee) and housed at the UG School of Idiomas.
